Malcore is a powerful tool that offers a range of advanced features to help you analyze and secure your files. To unlock its full potential, we highly recommend using one of our paid plans, which offer a range of additional benefits and features. However, even with our free plan, you can still access a range of valuable functionality.
To help demonstrate how Malcore works, we'll walk you through the process of uploading a Windows executable (exe) file for analysis. Here's what you need to do:
- First, log in to your Malcore account, or sign up if you haven't already done so. Once you're logged in, you'll be taken to the "scans" section, which lists all the scans that have already been processed.
- To start a new scan, simply click on the "start scan" button, and enter a name for your report. You'll then be prompted to select the scans you want to perform. For this example, we'll use "executable file analysis," "exif data," and "sections."
- Once you've selected your scans, it's time to upload your file or files. Click the "next" button, then click the "click to select" button and choose your file from the file manager window. Once you've selected your file, click the "upload" button to begin the upload process
- Once your file has been successfully uploaded, click the "next" button again to proceed to the verification page. Here, you can review the scans that will be performed on your report, and make any necessary changes. Once you're ready to proceed, simply click the "start scan" button to begin the analysis.
- As your scans run, you'll be able to monitor their progress in real-time. Simply use the drop-down menu to select the scan you want to view, and you'll be taken to a detailed report that includes a range of valuable information and graphs.
- When your scans are complete, you can download the results in PDF format, see the call graph, and entropy graph, or view them online at any time.
Please note that this demonstration focuses specifically on executable file analysis, but the principles and functionality apply to all Malcore endpoints.
